The ball and seat of the metal-seated ball valve utilize a metal-to-metal sealing mechanism. Depending on service conditions and user requirements, advanced hardening technologies can be applied to the ball and seat, including HVOF coating, nickel-based alloy spray welding, high-nickel alloy spray welding, tungsten carbide alloy spray welding, and cobalt-based hard alloy spray welding. These technologies enable the sealing face material to withstand temperatures ranging from 540°C to 980°C while offering excellent wear and impact resistance.
The seat is constructed from stainless steel with stellite alloy overlay welding, while the ball, also made of stainless steel, undergoes treatments such as hard chrome plating, vacuum coating, tungsten-titanium alloy, or stellite alloy overlay welding. These processes ensure superior heat and wear resistance. KOSEN’s innovative ball manufacturing process achieves high accuracy and an ultra-smooth mirror surface finish.
Another key feature is the spring-preloaded seat, ensuring reliable sealing and stable operating torque. The valve design emphasizes safety, sealing reliability, and operational flexibility.
