The maintenance-free compact cross seal, featuring a double seal lip profile, ensures a tight shutoff and allows adjustment without interrupting operation. Its self-cleaning effect is achieved through flush-out corners in the body and a cutting edge beneath the gate, which slices solids and fibers before sealing against the elastic seat. Gate guidance is interrupted along the stroke length to allow dirt ejection. Bidirectional shutoff is provided by the lateral gate surfaces and the integrated elastic seat, which is chambered and pre-stressed. The precisely finished guide and sealing surfaces on both sides ensure long service life and reliable tightness. Lateral gate guidance prevents fluttering in either flow direction or during throttling.
