The maintenance-free, compact cross seal with a double-seal lip profile ensures a reliable, tight shutoff and can be adjusted without interrupting operations. Its self-cleaning design is achieved through flush-out corners in the body and a cutting edge beneath the gate. Solid particles and fibers are efficiently sheared by the cutting edge before the gate seals against the elastic seat.
The gate's interrupted guidance along the stroke length allows dirt to be ejected, enhancing performance. Bidirectional shutoff is ensured by the lateral gate surfaces and the elastic seat, which is integrally chambered and pre-stressed for optimal sealing. The precision-finished guide and sealing surfaces on both sides extend service life and maintain a tight shutoff. Additionally, the lateral gate guidance prevents fluttering in either flow direction or during throttling, ensuring stable and reliable operation.
