The AT Series Pneumatic Rotary Actuator is designed to open, close, or regulate valves using pneumatic pressure, commonly known as a pneumatic actuator or pneumatic head. This type of actuator is essential in controlling the operation of valves, with options for integration with auxiliary devices such as valve positioners and handwheel mechanisms. The valve positioner improves actuator performance through feedback principles, ensuring precise positioning based on control signals. The handwheel mechanism allows for manual control in situations such as power failure, gas outages, or actuator malfunctions, maintaining normal valve operation during these events.

Advantages

The AT Series Pneumatic Rotary Actuator features a double-piston symmetrical structure with rack and pinion design, ensuring fast, stable action, high precision, and large output power. The actuator can be easily reversed by adjusting the assembly position of the piston. Single-acting pneumatic rotary cylinders are constructed with extruded high-quality aluminum alloy, offering hard anodized precision-machined bores and external surfaces for extended durability and reduced friction.

Operation

Upon receiving pneumatic pressure through the air inlet (2), the pistons within the cylinder move, compressing the spring on both ends. This action discharges air through air inlet (4) and drives the shaft in a counterclockwise rotation. When the solenoid valve switches the air supply direction, the spring pushes the pistons toward the center, expelling air from the middle cylinder through inlet (2), which simultaneously drives the shaft in a clockwise rotation. Reversing the piston assembly will cause the shaft to rotate in the opposite direction, enabling a reverse acting configuration for single-acting models.
