The high-pressure thermal steam trap operates on the thermodynamic principles of steam and condensate. As these fluids pass through the valve orifice, variations in flow rate and volume cause the valve disc to open or close the seat, effectively discharging condensate while preventing steam loss. Based on Boergli’s thermodynamic theory, the differing properties of steam and condensate generate dynamic and static pressure changes in both kinetic and potential energy. This creates a pressure differential across the pneumatic valve plate, driving its opening and closing action. The CS49Y steam trap is widely used in high-, medium-, and low-pressure steam pipelines and heat tracing systems.
