Universal Cast Steel Check Valves are meticulously designed and manufactured in strict accordance with international standards such as API 6D, BS 1868, ASME B16.34, or equivalent. These valves are engineered to minimize flow resistance and pressure drop, ensuring optimal performance. They are specifically designed for horizontal installation, with a lapped and screwed seat ring that guarantees a tight shut-off and extended service life. The valve's disc is precisely designed and machined to achieve efficient automatic shut-off even at zero pressure. The compact structure and low-emission service capabilities make these valves highly reliable. In their standard configuration, swing check valves feature a bolted cover and a free-swinging clapper, which responds to flow conditions to maintain proper operation. While swing check valves are best suited for horizontal pipeline installations, heavier disc weights may lead to chattering issues. In such cases, dampers or counterweights are recommended to ensure smooth operation.

Product Features

Cast steel swing check valves are designed to prevent backflow in the line. The flow through the valve is in a straight line, resulting in minimal pressure drop. The disc swings into the open position as the media flows through the line, and back pressure holds the disc in the closed position.
Cast steel swing check valves can be installed in horizontal or vertical lines but must be installed in the proper orientation relative to the media flow, as indicated by the flow direction arrow marked on the body.
A variety of accessories, including bypasses, locking devices, counterweights, and others, are available to meet specific customer requirements.
