The fully welded ball valve, also known as the welded body ball valve, features a body that is entirely welded. It is designed to serve as a stop/shutoff valve in various applications, including water and gas supply systems, heat-power engineering, housing and communal services, as well as in process lines at chemical and oil-refining plants, and pulp-and-paper production facilities.
The forging materials used in the valve are subjected to ultrasonic examination in accordance with ASME nondestructive flaw detection requirements. The welding slope on the connection face is also inspected using liquid penetration examination. A certain corrosion allowance is incorporated into the body wall thickness to enhance durability. The carbon steel stem, fixed shaft, ball, seat, and seat ring are treated with chemical nickel plating as per ASTM B733 and B656 standards. Additionally, a variety of corrosion-resistant materials are available for users to choose from, depending on their specific needs. To meet customer requirements, valve materials can be selected based on NACE MR 0175/ISO 15156 or NACE MR 0103 standards. Strict quality control and inspection processes are implemented during manufacturing to ensure that the valves fully comply with these standards and are suitable for use in sulfidation environments.
