Slab Through Conduit Gate Valves are manufactured with a full-bore port, rising stem OS&Y, and floating seats and gate, which are pressure-energized to ensure bubble-tight shutoff both upstream and downstream under low and high differential pressures. The design includes double block and bleed capability and automatic relief of excess body pressure as standard features. The smooth, continuous bore minimizes turbulence within the valve, and when in the open position, it produces a pressure drop equivalent to a section of pipe of the same length and diameter. The seat faces are located outside the flow stream, protecting them from erosive flow action. Pigs and scrapers can be run through the valve without causing damage.
