The ball and seat of the metal-seated ball valve utilize a fully metal-to-metal sealing design. Depending on service conditions and user requirements, various advanced hardening technologies can be applied to the ball and seat, including HVOF coating, nickel-based alloy spray welding, high-nickel alloy spray welding, nickel-based tungsten carbide alloy spray welding, and cobalt-based hard alloy spray welding. The sealing face material typically withstands temperatures from 540°C to 600°C, with a maximum resistance of 980°C. It also exhibits excellent wear and impact resistance.
The seat is made of stainless steel with Stellite alloy overlay welding, while the ball is also stainless steel, featuring one of three surface treatment techniques: hard chrome plating, vacuum coating, or tungsten-titanium alloy and Stellite alloy overlay welding—all designed to meet high-temperature and wear resistance requirements. KOSEN's innovative ball manufacturing process achieves high accuracy and a super mirror surface finish.
Additionally, the spring-preloaded seat ensures absolute sealing reliability, stable operating torque, and enhanced safety. Its structural design provides exceptional sealing performance, operational flexibility, and long-term durability.
