Product Name: Pneumatic Actuated Segment Ball Valve
Body Material: ASTM A351 CF8M
Size: 3 Inch, DN80
Pressure: Class 150 LB, PN20
End Connection: Wafer
Operation: Pneumatic Actuator
The Segment Ball Valve is designed primarily for flow control but can also be used for shut-off operations. The notched port on the segment ball generates strong shear stress, enabling it to cut through media containing fibers and particles. This makes it an excellent choice for general control applications, particularly in pulp and paper processes or other systems with similar challenging flow conditions. The V-port ball valve features a 'V' shaped ball or seat, allowing for more controlled opening and closing of the orifice, with a flow characteristic that is closer to linear. In the closed position, the smaller end of the 'V' is opened first, providing stable flow control during the initial stage of valve opening. Due to the higher fluid velocities involved, which could damage standard valves, this design requires a more robust construction.
