The maintenance-free compact cross seal, featuring a double seal lip profile, ensures tight shutoff and can be adjusted without interrupting the working process. The self-cleaning effect is achieved through flush-out corners in the body and a cutting edge beneath the gate, which slices through solids and fibers before the gate tightens against the elastic seat. The gate's guidance is interrupted along its stroke length, allowing dirt to be ejected. Bidirectional shutoff is enabled by the lateral gate surfaces and the elastic seat, which is integrated into the body. The seat is chambered and pre-stressed for a secure fit. The high finish of the guide and sealing surfaces on both sides guarantees long service life and tight shutoff. The lateral guidance of the gate prevents fluttering in either flow direction or during throttling positions.
