It is reported that, the test of a single fiber that transmit 240,000 sessions concurrently without relay 100 kilometers has been a success. In addition, the ongoing test can reach level of a single fiber that transmits 1.2 million sessions 6,000 kilometers without relay. Therefore, it is possible to achieve the global fiber communication without relay in the near future.

3. Great security performance
In the transmission, the light wave only in the core zone of fiber, no light can be leaked out, so the security performance is excellent.

4. Strong adaptability
Adaptability refers to the fiber will not be interfered by strong electromagnetic field and has good corrosion resistance and strong flexibility etc.

5. Small size and light weight
It is convenient for operation and maintenance. The fiber not only can bury directly underground, but also can be paved underwater and built on stilts. 

6. Rich source of its raw material
The basic material for quartz fiber is silicon dioxide, namely, the sand. The sand is almost inexhaustible in nature, so the potential price of fiber is very cheap.
