Cast Steel Globe Valves are engineered and manufactured to limit volatile organic compound (VOC) leakage to less than 100 ppm (parts per million). Extensive baseline laboratory testing, including both static and cycle tests, has been conducted to define the critical design parameters required for low-emission sealing, particularly in the stem packing and bonnet gasket areas. KOSEN has also developed in-house testing procedures that are regularly performed to ensure that all valves meet strict design and manufacturing standards. As a result, each valve is verified to comply with the maximum 100 ppm VOC leakage limit before shipment.
