Product Name: ASTM A351 CF8 Segment Ball Valve
Body Material: ASTM A351 CF8
Size: DN200, 8 Inch
Pressure: PN16, Class 150 LB
End Connection: Wafer
Operation: Spring Return Pneumatic Actuator
The Segment Ball Valve is designed primarily for flow control but can also serve for shut-off operations. Its notched port creates strong shear stress, allowing it to efficiently cut through media containing fibers and particles. This makes the Segment Ball Valve ideal for general control applications, such as those in the pulp and paper industry or other processes involving media with fibers and particles.
A V-port ball valve, on the other hand, features either a 'V' shaped ball or seat, allowing for more controlled opening and closing of the orifice, resulting in a flow characteristic closer to linear. When the valve is in the closed position, the smaller end of the 'V' opens first, ensuring stable flow control at this stage. This design requires a more robust construction due to the higher velocities of fluids, which could potentially damage a standard valve.
