Forged Steel Check Valve
VERVO offers a wide range of forged steel check valves in various designs, including swing type, lift type, bolted bonnet, and welded bonnet. These valves are available in different materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, duplex stainless steel, alloy, and other special materials. All VERVO forged steel check valves are manufactured according to the API 602 Design standard.
A forged check valve is specifically designed with a single disc. The disc automatically opens or closes around a fixed pin shaft, driven by the force of the medium. When the flow of media stops, the disc closes under its own force. No manual intervention is necessary throughout this process.
The primary purpose of a check valve is to prevent the reverse flow of media and ensure unidirectional flow in media channels. It serves to avoid accidents caused by sudden power loss in pipeline systems, such as damage to power equipment like pumps, and it prevents media from flowing back against the power source.
