A Y-type check valve (or Y-pattern check valve) is an automatic, non-return valve featuring an angled bonnet that aligns its internal guiding mechanism and spring-loaded disc at an oblique angle to the fluid centerline. This distinct Y-shaped profile combines the streamlined, low pressure drop advantages of a swing check valve with the rapid, shock-free closure of a lift check valve.
