An unbalanced control valve is a rugged, linear-acting modulating valve where the process fluid pressure acts directly against the entire surface area of the single-seated plug, creating a significant mechanical stem force when closed. Because there are no internal pressure-balancing chambers or seals bypass channels within the plug, this design features an exceptionally simple trim profile with fewer wear components, minimizing the risk of sealing failures and ensuring outstanding reliability.
