Cast Steel Globe Valves are designed and manufactured to achieve a VOC leakage of less than 100 ppm (parts per million). Extensive baseline laboratory testing, including both static and cycle testing, has been conducted to establish the critical design parameters necessary for low-emission sealing in the stem packing and bonnet gasket areas. We have developed an in-house testing procedure that is periodically performed to ensure that the standard product design and manufacturing consistently result in less than 100 ppm VOC leakage prior to shipment.
