A BS 5352 gate valve is a compact, high-strength linear-motion isolation valve manufactured to satisfy the strict requirements of British Standard BS 5352 for small-bore piping setups (typically NPS 2 and under). Utilizing a forged carbon or alloy steel casing, this valve eliminates internal micro-porosity issues completely, making it highly robust under the volatile thermal conditions found in refining and chemical utility lines. When the internal wedge is fully raised perpendicular to the fluid flow path, it provides a totally unobstructed, straight-through configuration that ensures low system pressure loss and excellent leak containment.
