Wedge Gate Valves are engineered to maintain VOC (volatile organic compound) leakage below 100 ppm (parts per million). To achieve this, extensive baseline laboratory testing, including both static and cycle tests, has been conducted to determine the critical design parameters required for effective low-emission sealing. These tests focus on the stem packing seal area and the bonnet gasket sealing area. In addition, We have developed an in-house testing procedure that is periodically executed to ensure that the standard product design and manufacturing criteria consistently result in the valves meeting the 100 ppm VOC leakage standard before shipment.
