End Connection: BW Ends
The disc of a tilting disc check valve is hinged at its center. This design overcomes the limitations of traditional swing check valves. Unlike the swing type, the tilting disc check valve remains fully open and steady at lower flow rates. In contrast, a swing check valve requires higher fluid velocity to keep the disc open and exhibits a higher cracking pressure. For low-pressure applications, the pressure drop across a tilting disc check valve is significantly lower than that of a swing check valve. However, at higher flow rates, the tilting disc check valve experiences a higher pressure drop compared to the swing type.
