Through Conduit Slab Gate Valves are designed with a full-bore port, rising stem OS&Y, and floating seats and gate, which are pressure-energized to provide a bubble-tight shutoff both upstream and downstream, even under low and high differential pressure. The valve features double block and bleed capability, with automatic relief of excess body pressure as a standard function of this seat design. The smooth, continuous bore minimizes turbulence within the valve, and when in the open position, it produces a pressure drop equivalent to that of a pipe of the same length and diameter. The seat faces are located outside the flow stream, offering protection from the erosive effects of the flow. Pigs and scrapers can be run through the valve without causing any damage.
