A cam lock is a compact, cylindrical locking device commonly used to secure cabinets, drawers, lockers, and enclosures. It operates through a rotating metal arm, known as a cam, which turns when the correct key is inserted. Depending on the design, the cam typically rotates 90° or 180° to lock or unlock the door, panel, or compartment.

A properly installed cam lock is designed to prevent unauthorized access without the correct key. If a key is lost, it is recommended to contact the manufacturer, a qualified locksmith, or use the lock code to obtain a replacement key.

A tubular cam lock features a circular key and a cylindrical pin arrangement. Compared with traditional flat-key cam locks, tubular locks provide greater resistance to picking and tampering. They are frequently installed in vending machines, lockers, gaming equipment, cash boxes, and other applications requiring higher levels of security.
