China Smart Phones Make Favorable Sales Volume

Smart phone industry is the one that develop fastest in information technology field. In 2014, yield and sales volume of its products are expected to make new records.

In recent years, intelligent mobile phones have developed at an amazing speed. Sales volume of homemade intelligent mobile phones accounts for seven in ten of the whole smart phones sold in China. In 2010, China-made phones occupied nearly naught of international market shares. However, the datum rose to 33.8% in 2013.

On 11th July, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology held “Forum of 2014 National Electronic Information Industry and 28th News Conference of China Electronic Information Top One Hundred Enterprises” in Ji’an, Jiangxi.

According to related evaluation reports, output of China mobiles phones reached 1.46 billion last year, with an increase as high as 23%. Intelligent mobile phones had a yield of 0.87 billion, and grew by 74%. At present, sales volume of smart phones in domestic market rises from 16% of total sales volume of phones in 2010 to 72% in 2013.

The statistics show that, TD-LTE multimode intelligent terminal, based on homemade chip, are accelerating its development rapidly. Localization rate of base band chips and application processors exceed 23% and 25% respectively.

China is now doing research and development on integrated smart phones with navigation function. Pace of large-scale application is also quickened.
