An SS 316L ball valve is a quarter-turn rotary isolation valve cast or forged from low-carbon 316L stainless steel, engineered for positive shutoff in highly corrosive and high-purity environments. Its internal polished ball rotates 90 degrees to control flow without restricting capacity. The low-carbon chemistry eliminates carbide precipitation during welding to prevent intergranular corrosion, while the addition of molybdenum ensures exceptional resistance to chloride pitting and aggressive chemical attack. Paired with inert PTFE seats and FKM stem seals, the valve maintains a bubble-tight seal under high pressures and temperatures exceeding 200°C.
