An extended stem globe valve (cryogenic globe valve) is a specialized linear-motion throttling valve engineered with an elongated bonnet and stem assembly to safely manage extreme high-temperature or sub-zero cryogenic fluid lines. The extended stem architecture functions as a structural thermal barrier, positioning the critical stem packing, gland assembly, and manual or automated actuator far away from the intense line media. In cryogenic liquid service (such as LNG or liquid nitrogen), this elongation allows an insulating gas column to form inside the bonnet neck, protecting the packing from freezing, brittle fracture, and leakage.
