A polished rod is an important link for connecting the pumping unit and rod string in the oil well. Currently, we offer 2 types of polished rods formulated from different alloys: AISI 4130 and AISI 4140.
The polished rod is the uppermost joint in the string of sucker rods used in a rod pump artificial-lift system. The polished rod enables an efficient hydraulic seal to be made around the reciprocating rod string. Currently, polished rods are made from AISI 4130 and 4140 alloy steel.
