The maintenance-free compact cross seal, featuring a double seal lip profile, ensures reliable tight shutoff and can be adjusted without interrupting operation. A self-cleaning effect is achieved through flush-out corners in the body and a cutting edge beneath the gate, which cuts solids and fibers before sealing against the elastic seat. The gate guidance is intentionally interrupted along the stroke length, allowing dirt to be ejected. Bidirectional shutoff is provided by the lateral gate surfaces and the elastic seat, which is integrated, chambered, and pre-stressed within the body. The precisely finished guide and sealing surfaces on both sides ensure long service life and consistent tight shutoff. Lateral gate guidance prevents fluttering in any flow direction or throttling position.
