The maintenance-free compact cross seal features a double seal lip profile, ensuring a tight shutoff and adjustable performance without interrupting the working process. The valve is designed with a self-cleaning effect, achieved by flush-out corners in the body and a cutting edge located beneath the gate. Solids and fibers are cut by the cutting edge before the gate is tightened against the elastic seat. The gate guidance is temporarily interrupted during the stroke, allowing dirt to be ejected.
Bidirectional shutoff is provided by the lateral gate surfaces and the elastic seat integrated into the valve body. The seat is chambered and prestressed for enhanced performance. The high-quality finish of both the guiding and sealing surfaces guarantees long service life and tight shutoff. Lateral guidance of the gate ensures that it remains stable, preventing fluttering in either flow direction or during throttling positions.
