Our Universal Cast Steel Check Valves are designed and manufactured in strict accordance with international standards, including API 6D, BS 1868, ASME B16.34, or equivalent. With a compact structure and low-emission service capabilities, these swing check valves feature a bolted cover and a free-swinging clapper, which serves as the closing member, responding to prevailing flow conditions. Swing check valves are ideally suited for horizontal pipeline installation; however, for heavier discs, issues such as chattering may occur. In such cases, dampers or counterweights should be provided to mitigate these effects.

Product Features

» The cast steel swing check valve is designed to prevent backflow in the pipeline. With a straight flow path through the valve, it minimizes pressure drop. The disc swings open as the media flows through the line, and back pressure in the line keeps the disc in the closed position.
» Cast steel swing check valves can be installed in both horizontal and vertical pipelines. However, they must be installed according to the correct orientation of media flow, as indicated by the flow direction arrow on the valve body.
