The maintenance-free compact cross seal, featuring a double seal lip profile, ensures a tight shutoff and can be adjusted without interrupting operation. A self-cleaning effect is achieved through flush-out corners in the body and the cutting edge under the gate of the Bidirectional Knife Gate Valve. Solids and fibers are cut by the cutting edge before tightening against the elastic seat. The gate's guidance is momentarily interrupted during the stroke, allowing dirt to be ejected. Bidirectional shutoff is achieved by the lateral gate surfaces and the elastic seat, which is integrated into the body. The seat is chambered and pre-stressed for durability. The high-quality finish of both the guide and sealing surfaces guarantees long service life and a tight shutoff. The lateral guidance prevents gate fluttering in both flow directions and during throttling.
