When the valve is open, the resultant force of the fluid acts on the center of the sealing face of the disc. Meanwhile, the point action of the counter spring support force is located at the center of the disc surface. This design ensures that the disc opens from its root first. Unlike conventional valves, this mechanism prevents wear on the sealing surface when the valve opens, thereby enhancing the durability of the valve seal. Wafer check valves are designed to automatically open and close based on the flow of the medium itself, and they are primarily used to prevent backflow of the medium.
