This product series includes three different designs of stamped rear lower control arms, all fitted with an integrated spring seat recess.
These metal components are core parts of automotive suspension assemblies. They link the vehicle subframe to the wheel hub, constrain the movement track of wheels and absorb impact loads generated when vehicles run over uneven road surfaces.
The circular recess on each arm is the seating base for coil springs. This spring seat recess and the arm body are formed through a single stamping operation.
Flat high tensile steel sheet is placed into matched upper and lower dies. Under huge press force, the sheet metal stretches and folds to form the curved arm profile and the deep circular recess in one step. No separate welding is needed to attach the spring seat.
Fabricated from high tensile steel, these stampings have variable contour, hole layout and dimension parameters to match different vehicle structures.
