Hot Forging Process Introduction
According to processing temperature, forging processes fall into three categories: hot forging, warm forging and cold forging. Hot forging is the most widely adopted metal forming method thanks to its reliable mechanical performance and flexible forming capacity.
During hot forging production, metal billets are heated to designated working temperature to gain better ductility. The heated raw stock is hammered and pressed within precision tool steel dies to form the target geometry. Extra material generated in forming creates flash, which will be removed in subsequent trimming operations. Hot forging is classified as near net shape forming, delivering dense internal structure and consistent strength for forged metal parts.
The kick starter lever acts as a core moving part for motorcycle engine startup systems. Repeated kicking creates sudden impact stress on the component. Hot forging eliminates internal voids and loosened texture inside steel, helping the part sustain cyclic impact force during long service periods.
We produce forgings strictly following customer technical drawings. Material and mechanical property requirements can be adjusted to fit different motorbike engine assembly specifications.
