Trunnion Mounted Ball Valve (TMBV) Introduction

The trunnion mounted ball valve is designed for on-off applications in pipelines. This quarter-turn valve opens when the ball’s bore aligns with the flow inlet and closes with a 90-degree rotation, blocking the flow. It can be locked in various positions for fluid control.

The ball is held by a stem and trunnion, with spring-loaded metal seat retainers and soft seat inserts ensuring a seal. It supports a wider range of sizes and pressures compared to floating ball valves, with lower operational torque, which reduces actuator costs.
