TPEE
On this page
TPEE (Thermoplastic Polyester Elastomer) is a block copolymer containing polyester hard segment and polyether soft segment. Among them, the soft segment of polyether and the uncrystallized polyester form an amorphous phase and the hard segment of the polyester partially crystallizes to form crystalline micro-domains, which act as physical cross-linking points. TPEE characteristics: It has the elasticity of rubber and the strength of engineering plastics; the soft silk satin gives it elasticity, making it like rubber; the hard segment gives it processing performance, making it like plastic; compared with rubber, it has better processing performance, Longer service life: Compared with engineering materials, it has the characteristics of high strength, flexibility and good dynamic mechanical properties. The hardness range of TPEE is Shore 30-82D, and its elasticity and strength are between rubber and plastic.
                                             TPEE
TPEE is mainly used in fields requiring shock absorption, impact resistance, flexibility resistance, sealing and elasticity, oil resistance, chemical resistance and sufficient strength. TPEE has excellent oil resistance, can withstand most polar liquid chemical media (such as acids, alkalis, amine glycol compounds) at room temperature, but can do nothing about the effects of halogenated hydrocarbons (except Freon) and phenols. Its resistance to chemicals increases as its hardness increases. TPEE has good anti-swelling and anti-permeability properties for most organic solvents, fuels and gases, but TPEE has poor hot water resistance. Adding polycarbonimide stabilizers can significantly improve its hydrolysis resistance.

TPEE has excellent chemical stability under many different conditions, such as water mist, ozone, and outdoor atmospheric aging. Like most elastomers, it will degrade under the action of ultraviolet light. Therefore, for outdoor applications or products exposed to sunlight, ultraviolet light protection additives should be added to the formulation, including carbon black and various pigments or other shielding materials; In addition, TPEE also has different degrees of hydrolysis.
