The Performance Analysis & Production Process of SS Square Tubes
On this page
Let' s see the performance analysis and production process of stainless steel square tubes in this article.Stainless Steel Square Tubes

The steel pipe is a kind of steel which is often used in the engineering construction and machine manufacturing industry. According to the different shapes of its cross-section, it can be basically divided into round steel pipes and square steel pipes. The specific application and performance of steel pipes with different shapes are different. The stainless steel square tube is a kind of long hollow steel. As the cross-section is square, it is called square tube. A large number of pipes are used to transport fluid, such as oil, natural gas, water, gas, steam, etc. In addition, when the bending and torsion strength are the same, the weight will be lighter. So, it is also widely used to manufacture mechanical parts and engineering structures.

The introduction of stainless steel square tubes
The square stainless steel tube is one of steels. The cross-section shape of steels is square or rectangular. It is made of stainless steel, which is a kind of strong corrosion-resistant steel with the galvanized surface. The square steel tube is also one of many types of steel tubes. Compared with other types of steel tubes, the square steel tube has an obvious advantage. That is, it has light weight in the bending place, so it can meet the needs of some special occasions. The production of stainless steel square tubes is the same as that of other kinds of steel tubes. If the products produced by enterprises fail to meet the specified standards, they will be regarded as unqualified products.

Compared with other kinds of stainless steel tubes, the properties of square stainless steel tubes are not special. It is also a kind of corrosion-resistant and rust resistant steel tubes, but its shape is different. The stainless steel square tube is also widely used in engineering construction and industrial production, such as the transportation of oil, natural gas, gas and other fluid materials, as well as the manufacturing of some machine parts and components and the construction of some engineering structures. The stainless steel square steel tube used for conveying fluid substances must pass the professional hydraulic test before it can be put into use.

The performance analysis of stainless steel square tubes
The metal can react with the oxygen in the atmosphere to form the oxide film on the surface. The iron oxide formed on the common carbon steel will continue to oxidize so that the corrosion will continue to expand and eventually form holes. This can be done with paint or an oxidation resistant metal plating to protect the surface of carbon steel, but this protective layer is only a thin film. If the protective layer is damaged, the steel below will start to rust again.

The corrosion of stainless steel tubes is related to the chromium content in the steel. When the chromium content in the steel reaches 12%, a layer of passivated and dense chromium rich oxide will be formed on the surface of stainless steel tubes in the atmosphere to protect the surface and prevent further reoxidation. This kind of oxide layer is very thin. We can see the natural luster of the steel surface through it. So, the stainless steel has a unique surface. If the chromium film is destroyed, the chromium in the steel and oxygen in the atmosphere will form a passivation film again and continue to play a protective role. For some stainless steel tubes, the residual corrosion will not occur, but there will be no uniform corrosion for some stainless steel tubes.
