Measures to Improve the Accuracy of 16mn (WT) Seamless Pipes

This article tells us the measures to improve accuracy of 16mn (wall thickness) seamless pipes. The control of the wall thickness of 16mn seamless pipes is a difficulty in the production of steel pipes. The measures to improve the accuracy of wall thickness in the production mainly include the following aspects:
1. The tube billet should be heated evenly. The rapid temperature fluctuation is prohibited. Each temperature rise and fall should be kept steady and slow, and the maximum temperature rise and fall should not exceed 30℃.
2. The centering roller. It should be sure that the centering roller installation is in place. Adjust the center of the relevant core roll, opening angle and the opening size of each action in order to be consistent with each other. The center of the core roll should be on the rolling line.
3. The rolling center line. We ensure that the punch rolling center line is consistent with the perforation car center line. "rolling up" or "rolling down" should be avoided so that the tube billet in perforation can maintain uniform force.
4. Rolling tools. The wear of the top, guide plate, roll and other rolling tools should be replaced in time.
5. The rolling tool installation, roll distance, guide distance center must be on the rolling line. Ensure that the center line of the guide and roll distance is in the center line of perforated rolling, that is, the upper and lower roller distance is equal. The left and right guide distance is equal.
6. Perforated push rod. We generally choose that the outer diameter of the perforated push rod is φ 108mm- φ 114mm. The wall thickness requirements are ≥25mm and the wall thickness of the thick wall pipes should be uniform.
7. The rolling machine mandrel. We need to choose the mandrel with a thick wall for the processing of thick pipes. For smaller specifications of mandrels, solid billet can be used instead. The probability of mandrel bending deformation can be greatly reduced. The accuracy of wall thickness of seamless steel pipes can be effectively improved by uniform thick-wall pipes and solid billets.
8. The precision of the mandrel. The length of the mandrel is relatively large. The first car diameter is generally used. Then, break the mouth welding, or use long material directly turning forming. The outer machining precision of mandrel is controlled at ±0.1mm, and the straight deviation of mandrel is not more than 5mm. During welding, a finishing pin is inserted between the two sections of mandrels. It is for positioning to prevent excessive deviation of the total straightness caused by welding.
9. Perfect the process. Prevent the middle thin and wall thickness beyond the control range of the situation so that the accuracy of the wall thickness can be improved.
