The features of a globe valve

The globe valve is the valve that moves the closed part(disc) along the centerline of the seat. A globe valve is mainly used for regulating flow in the pipeline, which has the following advantages:
1. In the opening and closing process, the friction force of the sealing surface is smaller than that of the gate valve and it is wear-resistant.
2. The opening height is small.
3. Usually only one sealing surface, the manufacturing process is good and easy to repair.
As the use of globe valve is more common, but due to the larger opening and closing torque and the longer structure length, the nominal diameter is generally limited to 200mm. And it has a large loss of fluid resistance. This limits the wider use of globe valves.
